Projex is a specialist team of qualified trades people from a large variety of highly skilled disciplines. I (Steve Robson) decided to create a company that could fulfil any requirements, with the lowest possible overheads, this meant projex could offer a high quality product, at a very competitive rate. After working with many trades people on projects for over 30 years, managing the team, submitting proposals, overcoming snags, often with innovative solutions and to a budget. I gained an extensive knowledge of all things relevant to projects, all the things that work, and the things that don't. The team can offer a quality solution to any project you may require, at a very competitive price.
My experience working for a company as a service engineer/manager, working with fellow engineers both in the UK and the USA, on various projects and facility issues. My responsibilities included, health and safety, electrical installation, power management, fire prevention waste outfall monitoring, compressed air HVAC and building maintenance, modification, and re-purposing, . Where a project involved specialist knowledge, I would source the relevant skilled people and oversee the project. The Projex team is based upon, a good working relationship with these skilled personnel, with many more carefully vetted people joining our ranks, daily.
As the company founder I have numerous responsibilities within PROJEX. They are as follows. Creating the ETHOS, it is my responsibility to ensure that it is followed, and all standards are met. I am first point of contact with the customer, and act as customer support, giving guidance and assistance when necessary. It is my responsibility to listen to customer requirements and budgets and assess the various steps needed to fulfil the objectives. I offer the proposals and approximate costings and completion dates. I carefully source and vet all tradespeople and choose which team members are best suited to the particular projects, and tasks. I ensure that the customer is fully aware of any limiting circumstances, and any snags that may, or may not be encountered during the project. I have to ensure that what was agreed upon, is delivered, and the customer is happy with the outcome, if they are not, it's my responsibility to ensure that steps are taken to rectify the situation. I act as a go between, thus ensuring both our customers and the team are happy with the end result. I have a wealth of knowledge, which I use to filter out, "bad practice," and over charging. I act as a guarantee for the customer that all work will be of a satisfactory standard, delivered on time, and charged correctly.
